What changed
Afterpay CSV uploads now check date formats and order IDs more carefully. If a file has dates with a 2-digit year (for example 9/1/26 instead of 9/1/2026), which often happens when a file is opened and re-saved in a spreadsheet app, the upload is now rejected with an error instead of being accepted with some rows left out. Extra spaces around order IDs are now removed automatically.
Who's affected
Stores that upload Afterpay data as a CSV file.
Action needed
If an upload is rejected for its date format, upload the original file downloaded from Afterpay without opening it in a spreadsheet app first, or change the date columns to show a 4-digit year before you save. If Afterpay orders or refunds seem to be missing for an earlier period, re-upload the original file for that period.
Scope
Applies to uploads from October 15, 2026 onward. Files already uploaded are not reprocessed.
Effect
Afterpay orders and refunds from your uploads come through complete, and a file that can't be read correctly is flagged right away.
