Blue Onion Console is now your home page in Blue Onion, and it's the first page you see when you sign in. Ask questions about your financial data in plain language, or start from a ready-made prompt.
Your Console home page
One question box: type any question and send it.
Every question starts a new chat, so your conversations stay organized in your chat history.
Ready-made prompts
Prompts cover the questions finance teams ask most, for example:
Give me a morning brief: yesterday's orders and sales by channel, along with payments processed and payouts to your bank.
Catch me up on MTD finances: a one-page month-to-date finance summary suitable for sharing with your board.
Flag what needs my attention: the gaps and issues across your reconciliation that need a review.
Pin the prompts you use most
Save your own questions: pin any question you asked in a chat and give it a short title. It appears under Custom and in your Pinned list, so you can ask it again with one click.
Charts and graphs
Automatic charts: when an answer includes a table, Console picks a chart that fits the data and shows it right below the table.
Ask for the chart you want: for example, "Can you give me a pie chart to show the breakdown of sales by channel" turns the same data into a pie chart.
Download your charts: use the download icon on any chart to save it for reports, decks or sharing with your team.
Ask from any page
A side panel version of Console is available from any page, so you can ask questions as you work without losing your place. Chat History lists each conversation by question, chat number, date and message count, and you can search it by chat ID or by the text of your own messages.
Where your dashboard cards went
Your Summary Financials, Reconciliation Health, Suggestions and Connectors cards now live under Dashboard in the sidebar.
Good to know
You can have two questions running per company. If you start a third, Console shows which two are still running, with links to them, and unlocks as soon as one finishes.
If an answer takes longer than 90 seconds, the chat lets you know you can leave. The answer still arrives.
Specific questions get better answers than broad ones.
Lite users don't currently have access to Console.
