Resource Columns let you pull in source-level details — such as order location, payment status, product SKU, and more — right alongside your journal entry data, without needing to cross-reference or run a separate report in the source data pages.
How to Access the Journal Entry Details Page
When you click on the amount of any journal entry, you'll be directed to the Journal Entry Details page. This is where you can see the individual line items that make up that journal entry.
From here, you'll now see the Resource Columns selector, which lets you choose which source data columns to display.
How to Use Resource Columns
Selecting Columns
On the Journal Entry Details page, look at the origin record type column for the line items you're viewing (e.g., Order, Order Line Item, Payment).
2. Open the Resource Columns selector and choose the resource type that matches your data.
3.Select the specific columns you want to add.
Example: If you're viewing an Orders journal entry and the origin record type is Order Line Items, you might select columns like Quantity, SKU, Channel, and Fulfillment Date — especially useful if you use this data to record inventory and COGS.

After selecting columns:
Important: Column Values Are Resource-Type Specific
Each journal entry line item is generated from a single, specific resource type — and that resource type determines which columns display values for that row.
For example, if you're looking at line items where the origin record type is Order Line Items, you would not be able to select AR Source as a column — because AR Source is not a value that exists in order line item data.
Linking Directly to Your Source System
You'll also notice a new arrow icon next to records. Clicking this arrow takes you directly to the record in your source system (e.g., Shopify), so you can do research right from this page instead of navigating to source data first.
Current Limitations
No filtering on resource columns — You cannot filter the journal entry details table by resource-level values (e.g., filter by a specific SKU or payment status). Only the standard journal entry-level filters are available.
No summary or aggregation — Resource columns are strictly row-level detail. There are no totals or summary rows for resource-level data.
Column selector shows all resource types — The column selector displays all available resource types regardless of which journal entry type you're currently viewing.
