What changed
Blue Onion can now receive return and exchange records from Shopify. When a customer swaps a returned item for other items with no refund, Shopify records a return rather than a refund. Until now we couldn't see those records.

Stores connected to Shopify.
Action needed
Shopify only shares return data once you approve one extra permission. In Blue Onion, open your Shopify connection and click Update Scopes. You'll need to be logged into your Shopify admin with permission to approve apps. It takes about a minute and does not disconnect your store. If you have more than one Shopify store connected, repeat this for each.
Scope
Return and exchange records start coming in once the permission is approved. Returns handled through third-party returns apps may not appear in Shopify's return records.
Effect
Your existing journal entries do not change today. This gives Blue Onion the data it needs to handle exchanges more accurately.
