You no longer have to build every journal entry template from scratch, or finish every mapping before you save.
Copy an existing template
On the Journal Entry Templates page, click the copy icon ("New Template From This") next to any template.
A new form opens with everything from the original filled in, including Journal Entry Type, Group By, filters and GL account mapping. The name gets " - COPY" added so you can tell the two apart.
Make your changes and click Create Template. Nothing is saved until you do.
Create a template from the Interactive View
In Journal Entries Explorer, open the Interactive View and set up the filters you want.
Click the new Create Template button next to the filter and download icons.
The create template form opens in a new tab with your filters already added, so you keep your place in the view.
Save templates with incomplete mappings
You can now save a journal entry template even if some lines don't have an account mapped yet.
When you save, we'll show which lines are still missing an account and note that those lines may prevent some journal entries from pushing.
The warning doesn't block you, so you can save your progress and finish the mapping when you're ready.
