You can now manage your team's access from Settings > Team, and invite teammates who only need to look around without making changes.
Three roles
Every team member has one of three roles, shown in the Team table:
Company admin: can add users, change roles and access, and approve requests.
Accounting user
Lite user: view-only access. Lite users can explore the app and see your data, but can't make any changes.
Inviting a teammate
Go to Settings > Team and click Add user.
Enter their first name, last name and work email, and pick a role.
Click Send invitation. They'll get an email invite to join.
Managing users
All users can open the Team page and see who's on the team. Only Company admins can add users or change a user's role or access.
The page shows how many members are active and inactive, and each person's status (Active, Invited or Removed). You can also search the list.
Company admins can use the ⋯ menu on any row to change someone's role, reset their two-factor authentication, or remove them.
Every account keeps at least one Company admin.
Requests your admins can approve
Two common requests no longer go through Blue Onion support. Users request the change in the app, and a Company admin approves or rejects it in one click.
2FA reset: users with two-factor authentication turned on can request a reset from the 2FA settings page. Once approved, they set up 2FA again on their next visit.
Upgrade from Lite to Accounting: Lite users can request an upgrade from the Team page. Once approved, the role changes right away.
How approvals work
Company admins get an email and see each request in the Suggestions Center, where they choose Approve or Reject.
Once one admin acts, the request is resolved for all admins. The user is emailed when the request is sent and when it's approved or rejected.
Requests expire after 7 days if no one acts, and the user is notified. A user can have only one open request of each type.
Good to know
Company admins, and users linked to more than one company, still reset their own 2FA through Blue Onion support.
