Overview
Blue Onion's Customer Intelligence feature — including all dashboards under the Customer Intelligence section of the application — will be retired on August 1, 2026. After this date, the following pages will no longer be accessible:
Order Breakdown
LTV
Retention
Products
Refund Analysis
Revenue Breakdown
This change does not affect your underlying data. All of the reconciled, normalized data that powers these dashboards remains fully intact within Blue Onion.
What's Not Changing
Your data is safe. Blue Onion continues to ingest, reconcile, and normalize your order, fulfillment, and financial data across all of your connected sources. The metrics and reports you've relied on in Customer Intelligence are derived from this same data — nothing is being deleted or lost.
Your Path Forward: Data Fabric
Blue Onion's Data Fabric product gives you direct access to clean, structured data delivered into your own Snowflake or BigQuery environment. This means you can:
Query the same underlying data that powered your Customer Intelligence dashboards
Build and customize your own reports, dashboards, and models in the BI or AI tools your team already uses
Leverage Blue Onion's reconciled data as a trusted source of truth for any downstream workflow
Whether your team uses Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, a custom AI pipeline, or plain SQL — Data Fabric gives you the flexibility to power those workflows on your terms.
How to Get Started
If your team does not use the Customer Intelligence section in Blue Onion, no action is needed — this change does not affect you.
If you do use Customer Intelligence, reach out to your Customer Success Manager before August 1, 2026 to:
Get set up on Data Fabric
Request the SQL queries behind any Customer Intelligence dashboard views you rely on today — we can provide the exact queries for Order Breakdown, LTV, Retention, Products, Refund Analysis, and Revenue Breakdown
Get guidance on connecting your Snowflake or BigQuery environment to Blue Onion's data output
The earlier you start, the more time your team has to validate data and configure your views before the August 1st cutoff.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will my historical data still be available after August 1?
A: Yes. Your historical data lives in Blue Onion's data infrastructure and is not affected by this change. Through Data Fabric, you can access all historical data in Snowflake or BigQuery.
Q: Do I need to do anything before August 1?
A: We recommend connecting with your CSM as soon as possible to begin your Data Fabric setup and request the SQL queries for your most-used dashboards. There is no hard action required before the date, but acting early avoids any disruption to your reporting.
Q: What if I don't have Snowflake or BigQuery today?
A: Your CSM can walk you through options. Blue Onion supports delivery into both environments and can help assess the right setup for your team.
Q: Who should I contact with questions?
A: Reach out directly to your Customer Success Manager, or email [email protected].
